Privacy Policy

This policy explains what BizBuddy AI collects when you use the website, the web app and the Chrome extension, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, work email, password (stored only as a secure hash), company name and team.
• Billing details: handled by Stripe. We keep the card brand, the last four digits and your subscription status, never the full card number.
• Usage details: pages and actions in the app, the devices that run the extension, and technical logs such as IP address and browser, used to run, secure and improve the Service.
• Data you save: business contact and company information you capture or import, such as names, job titles, companies, work emails and public profile links.

Data you save about other people

For the contacts your team saves, your company decides why and how they are used, and BizBuddy processes them on your behalf. That data is visible only to your team. We do not sell it, share it with other customers, or use it to build a database for anyone else. If someone asks us about their data, we will refer them to the team that saved it and help that team respond.

How we use information

• to provide the Service: saving records, finding and verifying work emails, running agents and lists;
• to bill your subscription and send account emails such as invitations, receipts and security notices;
• to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
• to understand how features are used so we can improve them.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run BizBuddy, under contracts that limit their use of the data:

• Stripe, for payments;
• our hosting and storage providers;
• email verification providers, which receive an address only to check whether it can receive mail;
• email delivery providers, for account emails.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep account and saved data while your team's subscription is active, and for at least 90 days after it ends, so a team can come back or export its data. Write to us to have it deleted sooner. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and each team's data is kept separate from every other team's. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay.

Your choices and rights

You can view and correct your account details in the app, export your team's data, and close your account. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, or to object to some uses. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email team owners before it takes effect.
